In honor of Sally Murray, our first Leadership Speaker of the year, our students volunteered to host at Literary Lubbock to benefit the Grover E. Murray Studies in the American Southwest.
Literary Lubbock is an event where the new authors from University Press come and talk about their books as an amazing dinner is served, each course paired with the prefect wine.
The evening is always a West Texas favorite. This year was no exception.
from Joanna Conrad
Dear Heather and Stacy,
Last night’s Literary Lubbock was a huge success, but we could not have gotten by without the help of your Honors students. They were so amazing: prompt, professional, helpful, and enthusiastic. Our guests all felt welcomed and in good hands from the moment they walked in the door.
Please, would you pass this note along to Ana, Jack, Kelly, Matt, and Rachel? I want them to know how grateful we all are!

from Sally Murray
As you can tell, your students were major contributors to the success of the LL event. Many thanks for helping with and supporting this outstanding yearly event that honors Dr. Murray. I cannot think of a more appropriate way to recognize his role at Tech.
With much appreciation for both you and your students,
