Goals
Mr. Howard Terry said, "Success is the attainment of goals you set for yourself." By that definition, you cannot be successful if you do not set goals. Here at Texas Tech, we regularly ask students to set goals for themselves.
Each year the students are asked to write a self-evaluation letter to the foundation. Those letters are due via email on June 1st of each year. It is such a beneficial exercise that some scholars continue to send letters to the foundation even after they have graduated from the program. ![]() SMART Goals
Each Terry Scholar is encouraged to establish SMART goals that you will work on collaboratively with your advisor and your Mentor. Please review these examples and then with your advisor or Mentor, set a goal. ![]()
