One of the requirements to become a Terry Scholar is demonstrated leadership. These scholars were leaders in their schools and communities, seeking to make a difference. Those skills are still vitally important as a scholar on campus at Texas Tech.
To refine those leadership skills, give back to the Tech community, and to encourage networking among leaders on campus, in 2012-2013 the scholars launched a Leadership Speaker Series, hosting three speakers throughout the academic year. This program continues with one event per semester.
Attendance is highly encouraged for students to gain new insights and better themselves, as well as their time spent at Texas Tech.
