Dear Tech Terry Alumni and friends,
This year Texas Tech Terry Foundation Scholars will be traveling to El Paso, the other foundation institution in West Texas. By attending this 2 day service project, Terry Scholars from Texas Tech will be immersed in a culture of servant leadership where like- minded scholars gather on a larger, regional scale to address a spectrum of structural, emotional, and educational needs for the local El Paso area and cultivate leadership development skills within ourselves and those we will have the privilege of working with. Attending this service event will not only make a lasting impact on our future, but also on the futures of our peers here at Texas Tech University and the community in El Paso. We hope to share our newfound skills and knowledge with other Texas Tech Terry Scholars and fellow Red Raiders. The details are being developed by the host school, University of Texas at El Paso. We need your help to get as many Tech Terry Scholars there to help as possible. The approximate cost for 50 scholars from Texas Tech to attend:
We are very excited about the opportunity to host an event that would benefit us personally and professionally at such a large degree. However, we cannot acquire the finances to attend on our own. So far, we have hosted give back nights at local restaurants and sold Terry logo items in an effort to off-set some of the events costs. However, we would greatly appreciate your help as we seek the opportunity to attend this event and become a better-equipped asset to the Red Raider family with the indispensable knowledge we will receive as we serve. We would like to request your assistance in contributing financially so we can all attend this event. We would like to thank you in advance for your support of our endeavor, and please let us know if you have any questions! |
