Tech Terry Student Organization
The Tech Terry Scholars program is a student organization comprised of undergraduate students who were named as “Terry Scholars” via application and interview process by the Terry Foundation for Texas Tech University. The organization began in the school year 2011-2012 when the first inaugural class of Terry Scholars was named to the university. Many different majors and fields of study are represented by the Tech Terry Scholars including: Architecture, Agricultural Communications, Business, Exercise and Sports Science, Engineering, as well as pre-professional degrees and several Texas Tech Honors College students.
The purpose of the Tech Terry Scholars is to provide a student organization for current Terry Scholars at Texas Tech University and for future students who will be named Terry Scholars in subsequent years. The organization’s aim is to better the Lubbock community in a variety of ways which will include, but are not limited to, community service, volunteerism, academic achievement, spirit for athletic events, social events, professional events, and any other event attended or created by students of the University. |

Community ServiceThe Service Committee plans and hosts service activities for the Terry Scholars. As Terry Scholars we all made a promise to give back. While it is the scholar's decision to ultimately decide on how to give back, the organization offers community service events to allow scholars to fulfill that promise.

More Information HERE LeadershipThe Leadership Committee invites guest speakers to campus for an invitation only event where scholar host other campus leaders for a lecture and networking event.
More Information HERE Mentor/Mentee ProgramThe Mentor Program is set up to encourage Traditional Terrys to get to know each other in a smaller group setting. It offers new Terrys an opportunity to have an upperclassman to talk to about other campus issues. Mentorship is a key in a successful college experience.

Terry T-Shirt Design Contest
Terry Foundation EventsIn order to maintain the Terry Foundation Scholarship there are required events each scholar must attend including the Terry Foundation Orientation, the annual banquet, and the annual spring picnic.
Orientation The Terry Orientation provides the opportunity for scholars to get to know one another and learn about the requirements to maintain their scholarship. It also provides the opportunity to meet the Terry Foundation staff. More Information HERE Banquet The annual banquet is an opportunity to engage with TTU faculty and staff as well as the Terry Foundation staff including members of the Board of Directors and Advisory Board.
